Most notable was the ability of one man who seems to be the "Godfather" of the Letter Agates. Working in a small cabin with with dirt floor lit by Gas lantern using a hand crank grinder the "Letter Man" plies his unique craft. 
This cabochon has been skillfully crafted with excess agate ground away to reveal the natural cross within.
