This Letter Agate cabochon carries a natural Allah symbol, cut from rough sourced in the mountains of East Java, where local craftsmen first recognised these nodules and began cutting religious script from them.
 
One craftsman in particular has earned the title "Godfather" of the Letter Agates. Working in a small cabin with a dirt floor, lit by gas lantern, he shapes each stone by hand on a crank-turned grinder. To form this cabochon, the surrounding agate was carefully ground back to reveal the natural Allah symbol held within.
