Pitted charcoal-black crust flecked with pale grey covers the larger nodule, marked by a thin fissure along one edge, then softens to charcoal-grey on the smaller nodule's crown. Agni Manitite is an obsidian variety collected from riverbeds near Malamingan village in Sumatra. Light passed through these rounded nodules often reveals a warm translucent glow of brown, grey and green, though a portion remain opaque and show a silvery sheen instead. Locally it goes by the name Pearls of Divine Fire.
